Welcome to our collective! We are a community of homeschooling wh\u0101nau based in the wider South Auckland area of Aotearoa New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded by a group of local mums, our collective was created to give our tamariki opportunities to participate in the kinds of events often associated with schools while embracing the flexibility, creativity, and child-led nature of homeschooling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our events are designed to celebrate learning rather than measure it. There are no grades, no rankings, and no expectation that every child will approach a project or activity in the same way. Instead, we provide relaxed and welcoming opportunities for \u0101konga to share their interests, showcase what they’ve been learning, try new things, and connect with other homeschooling families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are proud to be part of the diverse South Auckland community and welcome wh\u0101nau from all backgrounds who share our commitment to providing positive, enriching opportunities for homeschooled tamariki. Whether you’re new to homeschooling or have been on this journey for years, we’d love to welcome you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SAHC logo was designed by SAHC co-founder Ariella Lee-Maynard and inspired by the traditional M\u0101ori art form of the tukutuku panel. Tukutuku panels are woven artworks traditionally found inside wharenui. Created through the interweaving of patterns and materials, they represent the connections between people, stories, knowledge, and the communities they belong to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
