1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of the South Auckland Homeschool Collective website and participation in our activities, events, memberships, and services.
By using our website, registering for an event, purchasing a membership, or participating in our activities, you agree to these Terms.
2. About Our Activities
South Auckland Homeschool Collective provides community-based activities and events designed to support families and participants.
We reserve the right to:
- update, change, or cancel activities or events;
- adjust schedules, locations, or activity details when necessary; and
- refuse or cancel participation where required to protect the safety and wellbeing of participants, volunteers, or the wider community.
3. Registration and Bookings
Registrations are only confirmed once all required information has been provided and payment has been received (where applicable).
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- registration information provided is accurate and complete;
- contact details are current; and
- any relevant participant information is provided before attending an activity.
4. Payments
Where fees apply, payment must be made using the available payment methods provided at registration.
Payments processed through PayPal are subject to PayPal’s own terms and conditions.
You agree not to submit false payment information or attempt to interfere with payment processing.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that circumstances may change. Refunds, credits, or transfers may be considered depending on the circumstances and timing of the cancellation.
Unless otherwise stated:
- requests for refunds must be made in writing;
- fees may not be refundable after an event or activity has commenced; and
- any processing fees or costs already incurred may not be recoverable.
Where we cancel an event or activity, we will provide reasonable notice where possible and may offer a refund, credit, or alternative arrangement.
6. Parent and Caregiver Responsibilities
Parents, caregivers, and guardians remain responsible for the supervision, safety, and behaviour of the children in their care at all times unless an activity specifically states that supervised care is being provided by South Auckland Homeschool Collective.
Parents and caregivers must:
- actively supervise their own children throughout activities, events, and use of venues;
- ensure their children are participating safely and appropriately;
- remain responsible for their children’s actions and behaviour;
- ensure emergency contact information is accurate and current;
- provide relevant medical, allergy, or accessibility information where required; and
- ensure children follow reasonable safety instructions and activity guidelines.
Children must not be left unsupervised unless this has been specifically agreed with South Auckland Homeschool Collective event organisers and appropriate arrangements have been confirmed.
Any person responsible for supervising children on behalf of a parent, caregiver, or guardian must be 14 years of age or older.
Parents and caregivers remain responsible for ensuring that any nominated supervisor is suitable and capable of providing appropriate supervision.
South Auckland Homeschool Collective organisers, volunteers, and activity leaders are responsible for facilitating activities and maintaining a safe environment, but they are not responsible for replacing parental or caregiver supervision unless an activity specifically states otherwise.
7. Safety and Behaviour
We aim to provide a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all participants.
Participants and families are expected to:
- treat others with respect;
- follow reasonable instructions from organisers and volunteers;
- behave appropriately during activities; and
- respect venues, equipment, and other participants.
We reserve the right to ask participants or families to leave an activity where behaviour creates a safety concern or significantly affects others.
8. Health, Medical Information, and Emergencies
You agree to provide accurate information relevant to participation, including any medical, allergy, accessibility, or emergency information that may affect safety.
In the event of an emergency, you authorise reasonable steps to be taken to protect the wellbeing of the participant, including contacting emergency services where necessary.
9. Photography and Media
Photography or video may occasionally be taken during activities for community updates, promotional purposes, or sharing information about our events.
Where identifiable images of children are used, appropriate consent will be obtained.
Please contact us if you have concerns regarding photographs or media.
